Patterned Paisley Nail Art

Hello everyone! I'm super duper excited to share these nails with you! I'm absolutely in love with them! They took me forever and a year to do, okay not really... but they did take a while! I think the time I spent on them definitely payed off though! It's going to be painful to take these off.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, these are hand painted. No stamping plates or stickers were used here! Just good old brushes, a steady hand, and a lot of patience. Wait.. I have patience?

I was inspired by THIS photo and I just completely fell in love with it. I knew it would be hard, but it would look great as some nail art, so I grabbed a ton of polishes and some brushes, then starting painting away.

The white base polish I used is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On. The rest of the polishes I used for the paisley patterns were from China Glaze. I used Starboard, Entourage, Sunday Funday, First Mate, Dance Baby, Happy Go Lucky, Spontaneous, Papaya Punch, and Passion For Petals. Phew! Quite a few. And as always I used Out The Door top coat.

Are you all in love with these as much as I am? I wish nail polish would last forever. Like I said... This is going to be painful to remove. I may have a breakdown. Good thing I took pictures! Right?

I made a short little tutorial by speeding up the process of me painting one nail. It would have been ridiculously hard to do a tutorial and show me doing every single nail. You can check out that video below!

Half Swirl Hearts & Stripes Valentine's Day Nail Art

Hey everyone! I finally have some Valentine's Day nail art for you. I've been seeing Valentine's Day nail art designs popping up all over and I finally decided that I should do one of my own and a lot of my YouTube viewers have been asking for a tutorial. I wanted to do something simple and wearable, so I went with some stripes and some cute little half swirly, half solid hearts.

THIS design is what inspired me to do these types of hearts. I really like the design and I thought that it would look nice as some nail art. I originally was going to cover my whole nail in the pattern, but once I finished the first line in the center, it looks so pretty that I didn't want to ruin it. So I just kept it as a single line.

For the rest of my nails I did some stripes in all different widths. Nice and random, just how I like it! 

The pink I used for this design is China Glaze Laced Up and the white is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On. And of course, I used my lovely Out The Door top coat.

I personally think these are adorable! What do you guys think? Would you do the heart pattern across the whole nail? Would you switch it up and do some polka dots instead of stripes?

Babes In Toyland by I Love Nail Polish Swatches

Happy Super Bowl Sunday everyone!! Sadly, my team isn't one of the teams playing this year. I'm a Steelers fan! With that said, I'm hoping the Ravens win! Come on Baltimore!! 

I have another gorgeous glitter polish to show you from I Love Nail Polish (also shown as I ♥ NP or I ♥ Nail Polish). It's called Babes In Toyland. Such an adorable name!

I'm still loving the packaging for these polishes. It's so cute, and professional. Not to mention the awesome caps on these bottles. They have a rubbery finish which makes them very easy to hold.

Babes In Toyland is a super cute mixture of green, fuchsia, blue, and gold glitters. The glitters are in different shapes such as round, hex and square and they are also in different sizes. All of the glitter is suspended in a 3 free clear suspension base. The colors are absolutely gorgeous together and the different shapes and sizes work so well together! I have one coat of Babes in Toyland over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On.

I put it over white just so you all could see the different colors and shapes, but this polish would look amazing over other colors as well!

This polish is really easy to apply if you apply it in slightly thick layers. The glitters drag slightly with the brush so you will have to move them around a little bit in order for the pieces to be all over your nail, but it's not difficult to do. I Love Nail Polish brushes are nice and wide so it makes it much easier to apply the polish as well.

I figured out that if you pull the brush out of the bottle and just let it air dry for a few seconds it allows the clear base to get tacky so then you can apply it to the nail and the glitters stick to the base and then they don't move around as much with the brush. I discovered that completely on accident because I had to pause to respond to a text message and when I continued I noticed a huge difference in application. See? Distractions aren't always a bad thing!

The glitter pieces do lay flush with the nail, but I still recommend using a top coat just to make everything shiny and smooth. I used Out The Door top coat.

This polish has great glitter coverage with just one coat, but you can definitely add more than one if you like a fuller glitter look.

Overall, I can definitely recommend this polish. I love the color combination and the different shapes of glitter. It's such a fun mix!

Snow Leopard & Glitter Gradient Nail Art

Hello lovely readers! I hope you're having a great day or evening. If you couldn't tell already, I have some glitter and animal print for you! I seriously can never get enough of either one and neither of them will ever go out of style. At least I hope they don't!

If you've never seen a photo of a snow leopard, please go Google them immediately. They are absolutely stunning and I wish I could see one in real life. 

Since I can't actually see one in real life, I decided the next best thing would be to channel their gorgeous colr and pattern into some nail art. Voila!

I used a couple different polishes for this design. For the white I used White On from the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear line. The grey I used on my thumb and pinky nails underneath the glitter is China Glaze Immortal. Immortal is also the same polish I used for the center of my leopard print. For the black on the outside of my leopard print I used Wet n Wild Black Creme. The glitter I used is China Glaze Polarized. 

I used a dotting tool to create the leopard print and for the glitter gradient I just used the polish brush. Nothing special.

I'm so happy with the way these turned out. Sometimes simple colors can make the most beautiful designs.

Candy Bow Ties and Dotted Half Moon Nail Art

Hello everyone, and welcome to the new readers! I gained a few since the giveaway has begun! If you missed the post and didn't know I'm having a giveaway, you can go check that out HERE.

This design completely reminds me of candy. If I worked in a candy shop I would do my nails like this for every work day. I would never be able to work in a candy shop though... There wouldn't be any candy left at the end of the day because I would eat it all.

I was looking online at fabric patterns and I found a huge photo of smaller squares and each square had a different design. That's where I got the idea for the bow tie pattern. The inspiration photo was in black in white, but I thought it would be really cute to make the pattern brightly colored.

I did two nails with the bow tie pattern and then I got bored, because it was taking forever, so I added some pink half moons with dots surrounding them in the same colors as the bow ties to save some time. I must admit, I'm glad I did. I think it's a really cute combination!

I started with a white base polish on all of my nails. I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On.

Then I used a small nail art brush from my 15 piece brush set to make the bow tie shapes. I also used the same nail art brush to free hand the half moon shape on my other nails. Then using a dotting tool I just outlined the half moon with a few dots, just to make it more interesting and colorful.

The yellow is China Glaze Happy Go Lucky. 

The green is China Glaze Def Defying.

The orange is OPI A Roll In The Hague.

The blue is China Glaze Hanging In The Balance.

The pink is China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic.

The top coat I used for this design is my usual, Out The Door. I had to use a really light touch though, and I still managed to get some smearing. Isn't that the most frustrating thing EVER?! It is for me.

Even though I said I could eat a whole candy store if I worked there, I'm actually not a big candy eater. I try to avoid it as much as I can. I would rather eat a cookie or a brownie.

Delicate Fairy Tale Nail Art

Hello my friends! I have a stamped design for this post. I don't do stamping designs very often, but I thought of this idea recently and HAD to do it and I'm so glad I did! I absolutely love the way it turned out and I love how delicate and dainty it is.

I started with three thin coats of OPI Don't Touch My Tutu. It's a very sheer white jelly and I'm in freakin' love with it! It's such a clean looking polish. 

After I let that dry I stamped the image onto my nails using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On. The image that I used was from the Bundle Monster plate BM-314. You can see all the plates from that set HERE. 

I let that dry for a few minutes to avoid smearing, because I then applied OPI Pirouette My Whistle over the stamped image. Pirouette My Whistle is a really nice fine silver glitter with sheer white hex glitters. I've been wanting this polish for a while and finally ordered it online. It probably looked like I was doing some pirouettes as I was dancing around the house because I was so excited when it came. 

After that dried for a little I applied one more coat of Don't Touch My Tutu to create this super cute jelly sandwich look. I love how it sealed the glitter and the design all together. It turned out so nice! I'm so proud of myself for thinking of this!

Then I used Out The Door as my top coat. I think I've come to the conclusion that Out The Door is my all time favorite. It doesn't shrink my polish, it has minimal smearing with nail art, and it's not a gazillion dollars.

This design reminds me of a fairy tale, but it would also be great for weddings. If you think about it a wedding is kind of like a fairy tale, right? It's also a nice palette cleanser if you're tired of wearing super bright or super dark polishes. It's always nice to wear something neutral for a while.

I know stamping is pretty easy, but I did a tutorial for this design anyway since there are a few different layers. You can check it out below if you want!

Batman Nail Art

Okay... I can't even describe to all of you how much I loved these nails and I can't believe I even took them off. I think I almost cried. Seriously, I'm not joking. This was a request from a viewer and I was so excited when this idea popped into my head. It came out way better than what I thought it was going to. The splatter was done with a straw with the tip dipped into nail polish. It's probably the coolest method for splattering nails ever.

For the black I used Sinful Colors Black on Black to start off with on all my nails. It's an amazing one coat black and it dries so quickly for me. I absolutely love it and I'm starting to run out and I need to get another bottle ASAP! For the yellow splatter and the logo I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow. The straw that I used for the splatter was just a regular drinking straw that you can get in huge packs and they have the bendable top. Well, I cut the bendable top off so I just had a straight straw because it works way better that way.

I seriously just can't get over how awesome I think these are. This is definitely one of my favorite designs that I have done so far.

Quick Neon Polka Dot Mani

I haven't felt good at all, all day. So this is all I felt like doing. Something super quick.

The white base is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On. The neon polka dots are done in China Glaze Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, Flip Flop Fantasy, and Sun Worshiper. All I did was took the largest dotting tool I had and randomly put the dots on. Easy peasy. I think they came out really cute. Maybe being lazy and sick feeling is the key to nail art? Nahh.

Sorry lovelies. No tutorial for this one. It's pretty self explanatory.

Subtle Swirls and Accent Flowers

I could not think of something to do to my nails at all yesterday. When I did finally think of something it turned out awful and I just gave up. I know, I know... Never give up... I figured it was a better idea to give than waste more nail polish than I already had. So I ended up playing around with my polishes, searching through them, and I ended up finding two that work together flawlessly! After finding the perfect duo I decided that I wanted to do some nail art with that color combo as the base. This is what I came up with! It's really simple and subtle. After having something crazy on my nails for over a week, I just wanted something a little easier on the eyes.

The lovely duo that I came up with is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac and Pure Ice Busted. Busted is a gorgeous shimmer polish that looks purple and pink in the bottle, but when you look at it from the right direction it almost looks gold. Maybe it's just my eyes playing tricks with me, but that's what I see.

For the delicate swirls I mixed my own color with acrylic paint. I used a lot of white and a few drops of purple. I wanted something extremely similar to the base color so that the pattern would almost melt into my nails. I think it looks pretty good, SUCCESS! I was going to leave it just like that, but I felt that it needed a little extra something. I have had an obsession with flowers and floral print lately, so what better to fuel my obsession than some tiny flowers! I used acrylic paint for those as well. The flowers looked out of place so I added some small dot trails and I think they pulled everything together nicely. Of course, I followed everything up with a good layer of Out The Door.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac

This is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Lacey Lilac. It is so pretty! I use this polish a lot because it's the perfect lilac color.

 The formula for this polish is really great! Although, it is quite streaky on the first coat... The second coat covers all the streaks right up! I was actually surprised how well the second coat covered up the first. It applies very smooth. I did have one complaint at first and that was that the polish looked bumpy and uneven, but to my surprise it evened itself out. It was strange, but I'm glad I didn't have to fuss with it to make it look completely smooth.
