Review : Born Pretty Store Round Glitter

Good morning everyone! This is going to be a super quick post because everything is stated in the video below. I shared this review on my YouTube channel about a week ago and completely forgot to share it here! Oops! Things have been crazy lately and I'm doing my best to manage everything in an organized and timely manner.

Born Pretty Store Review: Gold and Silver Micro Beads and Beaded Nail Art

Hey everyone! I have another review from Born Pretty Store to share with you! This review is for a wheel of silver and gold micro beads! You can find this product HERE in the store.

This wheel of gold and silver steel micro beads is $4.17, but if you use my discount code GDL91 when you check out you can receive 10% off your purchase!

The beads come in the standard white rhinestone wheels that have 12 different slots and rotating top that allows you to get into one slot at a time. Half of the wheel is filled with gold beads, and the other half is filled with silver beads. I can't say exactly how many beads you get, but I can definitely tell you that there are a ton in this little wheel.

The beads are very tiny and can sometimes be difficult to pick up so you will definitely need some sort of small dotting or even a toothpick covered in clear polish in order to pick them up easily.

To get the beads to stay on your nails you will have to put down some top coat so they have something to stick to. 

In the nail design that I show here in this post, I only used the silver beads because I thought they looked the best with black. I did give the gold ones a try, and they were identical to the silver ones. The gold beads also didn't bleed any color when applying top coat, just in case anyone was wondering.

The black polish that I have on my nails is Wet 'N Wild Wild Shine in Black Creme and the top coat I used is Out The Door by inm.

My thumb was probably my favorite pattern I did on my nails. It's simple, but is super cute! I think so at least.

Overall, I really like these micro beads! But... (Don't you hate when there is a but?) When I took these off to change my polish, I noticed that they stained my nails. Wherever the beads were pushed down into the polish and touching my nail, they left a tiny little yellowish brown spot. It wasn't super noticeable, but it was an annoyance. I even tried to buff it away, and remove it with some baking soda, toothpaste, peroxide.. Nothing would make it go away.

With that said, it won't keep me from using them. I think they look fantastic! It could have been because I used black polish, I'm not entirely sure.

I definitely recommend these if you are looking for some micro beads to use in nail art. They are a great price and I like how they are in the rhinestone wheel so they are easier to store.

Born Pretty Store Stud Review and Glitter Studded Nail Art

 Hello everyone! I know I've been gone for a little bit, but I'm back! I have a review of some awesome studs that I received from Born Pretty Store. These are round 1.5mm silver studs and I absolutely LOVE them. You can find them HERE in their store. They are $5.86 a bag and you get a lot of them!

These studs are the perfect size for my nails and the nail art that I enjoy doing. Sometimes it's very difficult to find studs that aren't too large for your nails and I'm so glad that I now know about these. They have a flat back so they adhere very well to the nail. Studs that I have used previously are hollow and they usually pop off of my nail within a few hours, so I was very happy to see the flat backs on these.

They come is a nice resealable plastic bag so you don't have to be worried about finding an alternate way to store them. Be careful though! I didn't realize it was resealable at first and I almost cut below the seal area. Thank goodness I didn't. I tried to take a close up (below) of the studs, but since I was photographing them through the small plastic bag it ended up being a little fuzzy.

To test these studs out I did a simple triangular half moon design with some glitter polish. The two different polishes I used were China Glaze Glistening Snow and China Glaze Angel Wings.

I applied Glistening Snow to all of my nails and then I used some striping tape to make a triangular shape half moon at the top of my nails. After that I took Angel Wings and filled in the triangular area and then removed the tape.

To apply the studs I put some top coat on my nails where I wanted them to be and then used a dotting tool dipped in top coat to pick them up. After I had all of the studs on I applied Out The Door top coat over my whole nail. I did notice that one coat wasn't enough so I later added a second.

I really love how these turned out! Obviously my camera was in shock by all of the glitter and even if I manually focused it, it was just too much. 

Overall, I absolutely LOVE these studs! They are the perfect size for my nails, they are a great price, they are great quality, and if you are really careful when taking them off you might even be able to spare a few and reuse them.

Like previously stated, I applied mine with top coat, and then applied more top coat over them and they stayed on my nails for over a week and they were still going strong when I took them off.

If you are looking for good quality studs definitely give these a try! They have multiple colors and multiple shapes on the site and they are all a really great price!

Black and Silver Glitter Placement Nail Art | Review and Tutorial

 Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a great day! I recently received some silver holographic hex glitter from Born Pretty Store to review on my YouTube channel and I wanted to share the video and some photos here on my blog with all of you! 

I did a full nail glitter placement as the review. I fell in love with them after I saw the way MrCandiipants and Chalkboard Nails did their full nail glitter placements.

The black nail polish that I used for these nails was Wet n Wild Wild Shine Black Creme. Holy heck when they say wild shine... they mean it! This black is so shiny without top coat that you can actually get away with not wearing any! I did however use some because I always do. I used Out The Door.
