Blue and Green Glitter Gradient

These nails make me absolutely speechless. This morning I thought about doing a glitter gradient and I never would have thought that it would come out this amazing! It's like there's an ocean on my nails. Or mermaid tails. Either one.

These nails are packed full of glittery goodness. This also made it absolutely impossible to photograph. I think I spent over an hour taking pictures of these.Yes, these photos look amazing... Imagine them in person! I can't stop staring at them. People probably think I'm crazy.

I don't know how I managed to have polishes that worked so flawlessly together.

Top left, clockwise: Sinful Colors Love Nails, Sinful Colors Hottie, Sinful Colors Nail Junkie, Sinful Colors Call You Later

For the base color I used Sinful Colors Love Nails. I needed to have something underneath the glitter because if I didn't it wouldn't have been as vibrant and you would have been able to see my natural nail... Let's admit it... My natural nails aren't pretty. They're a little on the yellow side because I can't go without my polish!

Over the base color I put a full layer of Sinful Colors Hottie as a security blanket just in case I missed a spot somewhere when putting on all of the other glitter. It also helped to make all of the glitters blend nicely together from the start.

I started layering the glitter from the top of my nail and continued all the way down to the tip. I used Sinful Colors Call You Later to start and I made a very thin layer of it on the top third of my nail. If I got a little too much on the brush I just carried it all the way to the tip of my nail. My goal was to get all the glitter so blended you could barely see that I changed polishes.

In the middle third of my nail I used Sinful Colors Nail Junkie. I actually applied this polish from left to right across my nail and then blended it up and down.

On the tip of my nail I used Sinful Colors Hottie again. Once I applied it to the tip I blended it up into the middle of my nail just a little.
I did the same technique over and over until I couldn't tell that I actually used a base color. And because I wanted massive amounts of glitter on my nails because glitter is awesome. Of course, I added top coat too.

I don't think these nails could have turned out any better. I'm pretty sure I'm in love with them. I can't resist having nails that look like oceans or mermaid tails. They are fabulous and gorgeous.
