China Glaze Electric Nights Collection Swatches

Hello! I hope you're all having a great start to a new week. Shoutout to all the college graduates! My social media timelines have been flooded with photos of everyone celebrating. Congratulations to everyone who has graduated! Congratulations to all the parents who have children that graduated over the weekend as well.

I have the China Glaze Electric Nights collection to share with you in this post. This collection is for the summer of 2015. It consists of 12 awesomely bright and fun polishes! There are 9 super bright neon creams and 3 clear based neon glitters. Of course, please take into consideration that neons and super bright polishes are extremely hard to capture accurately. Some of these you really need to see in person to appreciate how bright they are.

All of the photos in this post were taken with my new lighting. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to position my lights, and what camera settings to use.

If you want to see how all of these polishes apply instead of just seeing the photos you can watch this video of me live swatching them all. Enjoy!

Red-y To Rave is a super bright neon red. It leans a little bit orange so you could probably say it's a coral, but I think this is the closest thing to a neon red that I've ever seen. This has an amazing formula for how bright it is. It was easy to apply and applied beautifully. I have 2 coats on in the photo below.

Let The Beat Drop is a clear based polish with pink, purple (magenta?), and orange glitter. I question the one glitter being purple or magenta because in some lights it looks purple to me, but in the photos I take they definitely look more pinkish purple. Oh colors... They are so complicated. This was okay to apply. I have 1 coat over white on in the photo below. I did have to move the glitters around quite a bit, but it wasn't awful. The only complaint I have about this one is that the clear base seems to be tinted pink. I'm guessing that is because the glitters are bleeding, but I won't be able to tell until I've had it for a while. I'm guessing it will get worse.

Home Sweet House Music is a super bright orange. I really want to call this one "Radioactive Mac & Cheese." It looks like the packaged powder cheese, but it looks like it's been through a laboratory recently to receive a dose of radiation. The color of this is definitely awesome and it's one of my new favorites. It was really thin and runny so it's a little difficult to apply since it wants to travel down the brush so fast. I have 2 coats on in the photos below.

Daisy Know My Name? is a neon yellow. This is the only cream polish I layered over white. I wouldn't wear this one on it's own because you'd need way too many coats. I have 2 coats over white in the photo below. You can absolutely get away with one coat over white though. If you use 1 coat it looks more like a highlighter yellow, but if you use 2 it tones it down a bit and makes it look more like just a regular super bright yellow.

Treble Maker is a neon green. This is such an unusually awesome shade of green for a neon. It has a bit of a blue undertone. I absolutely love it. It applied pretty well. It was quite streaky on the first coat, but it evened out with the second. I have 2 coats on in the photo below. Depending on how you apply this one you may need 3. Or you could just layer it over white, but it's not needed.

Can I Get An Untz Untz is a clear based polish with blue, green, and purple glitter. The name of this one is ridiculous. Not in an entirely awful way, but I won't want to say the name out loud in public if someone were to ask me what it was called. This applied really well. The glitters needed to be moved slightly, but it was minimal. I'm happy to say that the glitters don't seem to be bleeding into the base for this one. That could change over time though. I have 1 coat over white in the photo below.

UV Meant To Be is a bright baby blue. Not much to say about this one. It applied well, but was a little streaky at first. I have 2 coats on in the photo below, but you may possibly need 3.

DJ Blue My Mind is a slightly darker blue than the previous polish. This one stains... Unfortunately. Make sure you double up on the base coat for this one. It applies really well though. I have 2 coats on in the photo below.

Plur-ple is the more blue based purple in the collection. PLUR stands for Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. Some people seemed to be a bit confused by the name, so I figured I'd share that tidbit of information for you. I really love this one! It applies well. I have 2 coats on the photo below, but I think I could have gone 3 coats to make it look a bit better. Now that I see the photos I can see a few patches of my nail that I couldn't see when I was taking the photos.

Violet Vibes is the more red or pink based purple in the collection. This one had a similar consistency to Plur-ple. I have 2 coats on in the photo below, but I think it could have used 3.

Glow With The Flow is a super bright, amazing, gorgeous, awesome, pretty, outstanding pink. This is, hands down, my new favorite pink polish! I don't really like wearing too many pinks, but this one is going to be used ALL THE TIME this summer. Especially on my toes. It's super easy to apply and has an amazing consistency and formula. I have 2 coats on in the photos below.

Point Me To The Party is a clear based polish with pink, orange, green, blue, and purple glitter. This is definitely a party in a bottle. This one is a bit base heavy, but I was surprised that I barely had to position the glitters. They mostly stayed where they were put. The clear base seems safe from glitter bleeding so far, but of course, that could change. I have 1 coat over white in the photo below. I personally think this one will always look better over white, but I'm excited to try this one over other colors.

Overall, I really love this collection. They all applied really well, and I didn't have much of a problem with any of them. They all can be layered over white, but for the most part they seem to be wearable on their own. I think it's a great collection to pick up if you don't have any bright cream polishes. DEFINITELY pick up the glitters. They are awesome! Besides the glitters, I really love Red-y To Rave, Home Sweet House Music, Treble Maker, and Glow With The Flow.

Which polish caught your eye the most? Let me know!

*Not a sponsored post. I purchased these polishes on my own.*
