Hello, nail art lovers! I'm bringing you a dose of virtual warmth today. For those of you still stuck in the cold weather, I'm hoping this will help you warm up a little bit! The weather is finally starting to warm up here in Pennsylvania. And by warm up, I mean it's finally cracking fifty degrees.
The funny thing about this nail art is that I don't even like pineapples. I think they look adorable, but the taste isn't for me. However, I'm still obsessed. So, whether you like pineapples or not, I hope you enjoy them too!
On my index, middle, and pinky nails I did a a yellow to pink ombre. Also known as a gradient. I know some people really dislike the word ombre for a gradient. I'm somewhere in the middle. I know the differences, and should honestly make a video about it. I wrongly use the terms just because everyone else does. It makes it easier for people to find my posts and videos. I'm tempted to call it a color smash from now on to start an entirely new trend! I started with a white base and then used a yellow and pink polish. I love how well my yellow and pink polish blended together to make a beautiful orange transition color. I used the sponging method where I put the two colors next to each other and overlapped them just a bit.
On my ring and thumb nails I painted the pineapple and floral pattern. I started with a blue base, and then painted the basic pineapple and flower shapes using a white polish. I did this so the colors would really pop! Then I filled in the white sections. A light and dark green for the pineapple leaves, pink and orange for the outer pineapple texture, and then yellow and orange for the flowers.
