Aztec and Floral Nail Art with Video Tutorial

Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful Monday. I've been a bit stressed, but for a good reason and a not so good reason.

The bad news: Taxes. They are the devil. Only because I have no idea what I'm doing and now because of my blog and YouTube I'm considered a business and I'm self employed. Why didn't I learn how to do this important stuff in high school? I didn't learn how to do my taxes, or how to buy a house, or how to deal with loans and other adult things.... but you can bet your butt that I know how to graph pretty shapes using equations, find the solution to mile long differential equations, and recite four different works of Shakespeare in seven different languages. Okay, so maybe I can't do that last one, but you get my point.

The good news: The spare bedroom is now becoming my YouTube room and work space. It was being used as a storage room and I decided to take over. (Thanks Mom and Dad! Yes, I still live with my parents.) We've been slowly clearing everything out and it's very close to painting time! It definitely needs some work, but it will be nice to have a space where I'm not cramped between a TV and dresser, a computer desk, a work desk and a bed. And did I mention I got new lighting? I had no space in my room to put them which is the main reason I was forced to find a new space. I'm pretty happy about it and I'm looking forward to seeing how the new lighting works with photos and videos.

Anyway... let's get into something way more fun.   NAIL ART!

This was a pretty spontaneous design. I had floral print in mind, but other than that I was clueless. I went with a simple aztec style print to compliment the floral. I think they work really well together. I hand painted everything using a small nail art brush and nail polish. I will have everything listed under the photo below.

Polishes Used:

Motives Nail Lacquer:
  • Wedding Dress

Zoya:
  • Zuza
  • Cole
  • Neely
  • Jancyn

China Glaze:
  • Gaga For Green
  • Be More Pacific
  • Aquadelic

I'm really happy with how these turned out. I love mix and match nails. Always have and always will. I hope you all love these nails just as much as I do! If you want to learn how to create this nail design yourself, make sure you check out the video tutorial that is at the bottom of this post. I hope you all have a fantastic rest of your Monday and week. I'll see you sometime soon!

If you want to learn how to create this design on your own nails, this video tutorial can help!
