Triple Studded with Black and White Stripes Nail Art + Tutorial

Happy Friday! Let the weekend begin! I have some fashion inspired nail art to share today. Recently Mike and I went to the mall and he was so sweet and got me an awesome sweater from Aeropostale along with a few other things. I'll be uploading a haul video to my YouTube channel on Monday if you'd like to see what else he got me on our mall trip! I'm not sure if I'll share it here on the blog, so make sure you subscribe over there so you don't miss out on it. It's a very soft, long sleeve, black sweater that has embellished shoulders with pearls, rhinestones, and silver studs. Needless to say... I thought it would make cute nail art!

I used two polishes for this nail art design: Wet 'n' Wild in Black Creme and Motives Cosmetics in Wedding Dress. To accompany the studded nails, I decided to go with simple black and white stripes. I was going to use a maroon or red polish, which would have looked great, but I'm glad I didn't. I think the black and white stripes really pack a punch. Haha... Jokes, jokes. Did you catch it? I hope so.

All of the rhinestones, studs and pearls are from Born Pretty Store. I'm not sure of the size, but they're pretty tiny. I'm thinking that they're probably 2mm. I applied them to my nails with clear top coat and a dotting tool. For the stripes I, of course, used some striping tape. The striping tape was from either Born Pretty Store or Amazon. You can get it from both places relatively cheap. If you don't want to purchase any you can totally use regular clear scotch tape. You'll just need to cut it with some scissors to make the thin strips. I topped everything off with a top coat from Motives.

I really love how this design turned out. I think it's the black and white that makes me really like it. I think I might try this design again with a red or maroon polish in place of the stripes. Maybe with a half moon design? I think that would look awesome!

This design is great for beginners because it's pretty simple. If you want to see how I did this design, then make sure you watch the video tutorial below. Have a great weekend everyone!
