Simple Mermaid Inspired Nail Art

Hello everyone! How are you all doing today? Today I have a simple mermaid inspired nail art design. I recently broke one of my nails all the way down to the skin (OUCH!) and I had to cut it completely off along with the rest of my nails so they were all even. I've been getting a few requests for nail art for beginners with really short nails. Using glitter and simple gradients is a great way for beginners to dive into the nail art world. So for all you beginners out there... Give something like this a try! It doesn't have to be mermaid colors either. You can choose any of your favorite colors and put them together.

The polishes I used for the gradient nails are Motives Cosmetics Wedding Dress and China Glaze Tart-y For The Party. The gold glitter nail was done with China Glaze Angel Wings. The green nails were done using a combination of two different polishes. I was just going to use China Glaze Flour Leaf Clover, but then I remembered that I had China Glaze Atlantis and immediately had to break it out and use it because I absolutely LOVE, I repeat, LOVE that polish. It's kind of hard to find so I like to use it sparingly. I also used silver holographic hex glitters that are from Born Pretty Store on the gradient nails and placed them along the free edge of my nail and up the side of my nail. To seal everything in I used the Lasting Finish Pro top coat by Rimmel.

As always, here is the video tutorial so you can give it a try! Have a great day everybody!
