Scattered & Tattered is a mixture of red and black glitter. The red hex glitters come in small, medium, and large and then the black glitters come in the same size, but also with extra large hex glitters as well as bar glitters. This is a nice vampy combination of glitter and I really like it! All of the glitter is suspended in a clear base.
What I have on my nails is one coat of Scattered and Tattered over China Glaze Something Sweet. One coat is really all you need to fully cover your nail! Putting this polish over pink reminds of cherry blossoms or Valentine's day. I also have a layer of Out The Door top coat over everything.
Application was great for this one! One coat completely covers the nail and I didn't have to move the glitter around at all. It all stayed exactly where I put it and it didn't drag with the brush either. If you wanted, you could probably wear this polish on it's own with two or three coats.
The consistency is a little thick, but that is due to all of the glitter that is jam packed into a single bottle of polish. It's not because the base of the polish is thick, it's just because there is so much glitter. It had no effect on application though, it applied like a dream.
If you use top coat you won't have any problems with the glitter sticking up on your nail. The pieces lay pretty flush with the nail.
Up close you can see the variety of glitters in this polish! I love it!
This is another great polish! I love the look of it and the application is definitely a plus! This one is worth checking out!
This collection is scheduled for a February release, but if you're lucky you can probably find it early like I did and especially online.
Why do they keep putting bar glitter in everything??? I really dislike bar glitter! I would totally buy this polish without the bars! But you do make it look good! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the variation of the sizes of glitter - and this looks great over the light pink!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of bar glitter either.. but I actually don't mind them in this collection. :) I actually like them.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I love how there are huge black hex glitters.
