Distressed American Flag Nail Art

Happy 4th of July!!! I'm going to make this post short and sweet because I know a lot of you have festivities to get to today! 

This design was inspired by this outfit from Deb Shops.

American Flag Tank: Absolutely love this tank top! It's sheer and so comfortable. It's definitely perfect for a warm 4th of July day! 

Dip Dye Shorts: I love these Ombre/Dip Dyed denim shorts! They are very comfortable and be easily worn with any top.

Sandals: These beaded gladiator sandals are personally my favorite part of this outfit! They zip up in the back so they are extremely easy to put on! No hassle with any straps. Just what I like.

To create the distressed look of this design I used a piece of crumpled up plastic wrap! I've been seeing a lot of solid and bright designs popping up all over the web for the 4th, but I wanted something a little bit different. I used striping tape to achieve the solid white lines. I also added a few white stars (completely optional) using a small brush and white acrylic paint.

I started with a white polish as the base and then added China Glaze's White Cap to add a little bit of gold shimmer. The blue polish is China Glaze's First Mate and the red is China Glaze's City Siren.
